Wildlands Fire Mgmt Talk

Are you worried about possible wildfire in Eldorado? Last year’s Las Conchas fire burned an area ten times the size of Eldorado in one day! However, your home and possessions might survive a fire if you are prepared. The ECIA Conservation Committee and the U.S. Park Service are sponsoring a Wildlands Fire management talk and hike on May 12. The event will be held at Bandelier National Monument from 9 am to noon. The wildlands fire talk will be given by a park ranger, and then participants will hike to view the damage to Frijoles Canyon that resulted from last year's Las Conchas Fire. Space is limited to the first 20 participants.Those interested should call the ECIA at 466-4248 to reserve a spot. Ask Mark about carpooling.
